Breaking out of Boredom!

Just because people say they are busy doesn’t mean they are not bored. Boredom is one of those sneaky bugs that catches us by surprise.  When we finally get where we think we are suppose to be… then what?  If life gets too comfortable we start to wilt like a plant that has been stuck in the same pot for too long.

Most of us do what we do because its expected of us or we expect it of ourselves or we have no idea what life would look like or be like without our schedule that we are used to having.
It takes some real “prana” life force energy to decide to switch things up.  Here is an example of shifting gears, my version of Tree Pose. lol. – A fresh way of hanging out!
Tree Pose
Climbing a tree and whipping into a deep backbend isn’t something that happens everyday. It takes some deep breaths to get past immediate fear. Then it takes some focus to balance without falling. And finally it takes some confidence not to care what the public thinks about your unique self expression. That may be what it takes to draw some creativity in your life and if so, go for it!
It’s important to break out of boredom even in yoga. The same class, the same pose, the same teacher, the same day of the same week, taught in the same way becomes…
All things need to grow, including people.  I am always thinking of new ways to keep things upbeat in my life, up for the next discovery to share with others. Either, it finds me or I find it.  So, you want to hear my latest creation? …… Ok.. start smiling because its a good one. 🙂

A dirt cheap, epic, wild, fun and amazing ADVENTURE YOGA RETREAT TO COSTA RICA in June… and the best part is I am sharing it with cool yoga people, like yourself.  Who knows how often a yoga adventure such as this will be available? All I know is that I am so excited about this one I can barely sit still talking about it.  So, if you have been couch surfing, or never surfing and always wanted to try, without getting run over by local surfers, this is for you. Also, if you just don’t know what to do with yourself this summer, here’ s a great way to “find or create a new direction or path of yoga in your life.” We will be greeting the sunrise with morning yoga and chillin’ the mind with sunset breathing, calming and peaceful practices for meditation. 🙂 as well as having outrageous good times exploring this amazing place!

When we give time to ourselves by taking a much deserved break, we get to rejuvenate. Instead of being busy and still bored, we can be busy being in the right place at the right time for the right reasons and enjoying unexpected blessings.
Spring is a blessed time to cleanse from within. Inner cleansing brings positive changes and less predictability. Here’s some great words of purification that I wanted to share for Spring. 🙂
If I have harmed anyone in any way
either knowingly or unknowingly through my own confusions
I ask for their forgiveness.
If anyone has harmed me in any way
either knowingly or unknowingly through their own confusions
I forgive them.
And if there is a situation I am not yet ready to forgive
I forgive myself for that.
For all the ways that I harm myself,
negate, doubt, belittle myself, judge or be unkind to myself,
through my own confusions,
I forgive that.
-Buddhist Prayer of Forgiveness.
Enjoy your fresh starts in the beautiful season of Spring and planting seeds for your extraordinary summer!  I would love to hear how it goes!
