Manifesting with Mantras
Got Mind Tools?

At some point in your virtual world of exploring Facebook, Google, Your Smart Phone, I Phone, I Pad, etc. you may have come across the term mantra. The Sanskrit word “Mantra” broken down in root form man- “to think” (also in manas “mind”) and the suffix -tra, referring to tools or instruments. The essence of the word can be viewed as “instrument of thought”. OM is a mantra Hindus have said in the Vedas is the source of all mantras. When chanting or listening to the sound OM, it has an obvious effect on one’s energy field. Mantra manifestation is so powerful that large populations in the world practice a form of yoga called Mantra Japa. It involves repetition of a mantra over and over again, usually in cycles of the auspicious number 3 of the more popular number 108, a mystical number and total of beads on a mala.
A lot of people in the world may even be unaware that they are chanting mantras in their head all the time and manifesting things on an unconscious level. If you notice, those who often repeat to themselves, I am poor, I am tired, I am stressed and things like that have a hard time getting beyond their obstacles. Why is that? Have you also watched how people you admire talk? It’s usually language like I am open, I am grateful, I am excited and many other positive statements. Then, things just seem to land in their laps, effortlessly. We think they are just lucky people, with good karma and good support systems. Perhaps part of that is true, but what if there was so much more to it? Even when we experience tough days and the shadow side of our being emerges, it’s intense. What determines how long we linger there is what is happening in our brain chemistry, what types of conversations we are having with other people, and what energy they are feeding back to us in their response.
Can you imagine sitting somewhere and consciously creating your future by deliberately chanting a mantra? Sound a little “out there?” Would it be more enticing to watch the media, the stock market, or let advertising manipulate your thoughts? Sometimes people get fed up with the same old cycles producing the same results over and over as if life were one long difficult experience. Once in a while, people get inspired to do something different. If you are still following your New Year’s resolutions, that’s awesome!
If you would like to stick to your positive plan of action(s) in your life, I invite you try chanting a mantra. It’s simple and powerful. It’s profound and can become an automatic good habit that propels you forward in your life. Trust whatever you pick as a word that emerges from within you and just start chanting it. Once you repeat the word or statement for a few minutes, amaze yourself and write down a statement about how your energy shifted. This way, you are proving your own Divine Power to your own Self and practicing a yoga that is available to everyone! When you stay consistent with this practice, things that you may have not even seen as possibilities in your life start to manifest. People appear who you may have always wanted to meet, or didn’t think were available to you. Life changes.
If you are stumped on what to say, try “I am Peace “or the Sanskrit of that Om Shanti, or “I am love “-Om Prema. Or simply repeat OM. Other magical ones I like are ” Ma”. ” Jai Ma”. Or “Ma -Om”. If it feels a a little uncomfortable, give it a chance. No one is deciding your spiritual path, just adding to your magnificence.! Have fun! I would love to hear how it goes. Here is a universal “prayer/mantra” I have chanted for years. May it bring vast Light to your life, and may you shine that boldly into the world!
Here’s a great mantra sequence to chant to bring new blessings for Spring!!

सर्वेषांस्वस्तिभवतु।सर्वेषांशान्तिर्भवतु।
सर्वेषां
पूर्नंभवतु।सर्वेषांमड्गलंभवतु॥
Sarvesam Svastir Bhavatu
Sarvesam Santir Bhavatu
Sarvesam Purnam Bhavatu
Sarvesam Mangalam Bhavatu
May good befall all,
May there be peace for all
May all be fit for perfection,
May all experience that which is auspicious.
Stay in touch!  Namaste!
